Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Life and Wonder with Bronnie Ware. I’m Bronnie and am best known publicly as the author of The Top Five Regrets of the Dying. Amongst my friends, I’m known as a lover of nature, a good listener, a traveller and someone who loves going out for lunch and eating healthy, divine food. It’s one of my favourite things: good company combined with good food – you can’t go wrong!
I’m also someone who has developed my courage muscle into being a superpower. You can’t sit by the bedsides of dying people for eight years and witness the pain of their regrets without being changed forever.
Life and Wonder is a space to be reminded of the potential of life, as well as its beauty. I deeply believe that our lessons are given to us from a place of love to bring us into our best potential. This is to provide us with the skills to not only function in this ever-evolving world, but to do so with the confidence and peace of knowing ourselves and how we can contribute in service.
That service doesn’t need to be public. It may be through growing a garden that brings delight to weary people who walk past it on their way to their Monday-to-Friday grind in a job that is disempowering them. It may be in service to children as a parent. It may be through healing yourself and breaking ancestral patterns that stop being passed down to future generations. Service comes in many forms.
My own forms of service are through my writing of books, stories, songs and quotes. It’s also through my story-telling in vlogs and interviews. It’s through being a single mama raising a free-thinking child who isn’t scared to be herself. It’s as a disabled woman who recognises that we all have challenges that others may not understand. And it’s as a teacher of courage, a role that has grown through me also being a risk-taker. I’ve come to deeply appreciate the power of surrender and trust, and to recognise our frailties as humans and how we can often get in our own way.
I love humanity despite the many mistakes we’re making as a species and I love life, regardless of how much it can stretch us at times.
It is my honour and pleasure to serve you here through my free fortnightly newsletters. I use Australian spelling, by the way, which means some words may look weird to those of you who are in America. For the rest of us, they will look very normal!
If you enjoy my newsletters and want more, simply subscribe to my weekly story. The four stories a month could well be an act of kindness to yourself for a very small investment. The stories for paid subscribers will also include a voiceover for those who prefer to listen than read, which of course is much easier if you plan to tune in while driving. And while the newsletters are free and always offer food for thought, they don’t include the voiceover.
Thank you for visiting Life and Wonder with Bronnie Ware. You’re welcome to drop by anytime and I look forward to the time we’ll share.
